The City of Heron Lake's Council Meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of every month. The meeting will begin at 7pm. The Public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
City Offices Closed for Memorial Day May 26th

Ends: 5/26/2025
The Heron Lake City Hall will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular services will resume on Tuesday, May 27. We thank you for your understanding and wish everyone a safe and meaningful holiday.

BLUE HERON DAYS
Begins: 6/28/2025 - 10:00 AM
Ends: 7/6/2025 - When all activities are competed.
Blue Heron Days is on June 28, 2025 in the Heron Lake City Park. Activities throughout the park. Parade at 2:00 PM. Dance featuring Serious Shirley will be held in the HLMLS parking lot.
